I'm happy!
Today is a good day! In spite of my van having a flat tire this morning, or when I got to work 'a little late' (becauase I had a flat tire) and their were users waiting at the door for me to 'put out a fire'. (Im in IT)...In spite of all the stress involved with the unexpected mishaps today is still a good day. I'm happy, and that is truly a good thing. I once was a very stressed and depressed person. You know the woe is me, type of person. Years ago, I probably would have went into the bathroom at work and cried thinking that my life is just so bad. Now I realize that is the enemy's plan. To keep us chained, shakled, bottled up, to keep us always thinking about ourselves. I'm so glad that I now know that it is not about me anymore. The Christian walk is just the opposite, God called us to DIE to SELF so that he may live in us. When we die to our flesh we no longer feed it with lust, evil desires and ambitions, mind-binding thoughts (From Joyce Meyer's book The Battlefield of the Mind), but instead we feed the Spirit. We fix our thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable and think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise (see Phil 4:8). Im happy and I rejoice because God has made me glad!
